Report Information:
Not all existing standard reports in the SLS product
are currently available in the SLS-SQL upgrade. If you
currently have R&R report writer version 6.0 or
below, please be aware that this software will not work
with the new upgrade to SLS-SQL. A full report writing
package does not come with the upgrade. We will provide
the run time versions of R&R report writer and Crystal
Reports to run any reports inside of SLS. If you are
interested in writing your own custom reports, you will
be responsible for purchasing your own report writer.
Note that only R&R Report writer for SQL and Crystal
Reports for SQL reports will run inside of SLS. However,
there are a variety of other reporting tools that you
may utilize outside of SLS. We place no limitations
on that area. SLS custom written reports (by SLS or
customer) will have to be converted to run in the SLS-SQL
upgrade. SLS will convert your custom reports for a
fee (See fee schedule). To convert your own reports
you will need to purchase R&R Report Writer for
SQL. SLS-SQL has a third party software package integrated
to facilitate the communication to the MS SQL tables.
This software is included in the upgrade cost.
Upgrade Process:
The upgrade should take approximately two days. This
upgrade estimate is based upon converting approximately
10,000 employees and only current year check history
data and Microsoft SQL Server 2000 already being installed.
On-site vendor upgrade is recommended. The fee for SLS
personnel to be on-site is $1000/day for 1 person, plus
travel expenses. We ask that you make available to the
vendor an IT staff personnel for assistance.
